Ryley  is an exceptional male Golden Retriever who brings together the natural  ability, drive, focus, and temperament that make a truly special  hunting companion.

In the field, Ryley is the kind of dog you can count on.  He has a deep-seated nose, natural hunting ability, tremendous drive, and an unwavering focus on the job at hand.  Eager, attentive, and determined, he gives every retrieve his all.  If you send Ryley for a bird, he will find it.  His desire to work and his confidence in the field make him a dependable and enthusiastic hunting partner.

Ryley has been trained through Utility and carries that same willingness and desire to work into obedience.  He is an attentive, responsive team player who genuinely enjoys working alongside his handler.  Whether he is hunting, training, or simply spending time with Jean, Ryley approaches everything with confidence and a genuine joy for life.

Outside of his work, Ryley is an incredibly social and personable dog.  He never meets a stranger and has earned the nickname “Lassie” because of his friendly, devoted nature. He has the kind of personality that makes him not only a pleasure to work with, but also a wonderful companion.

Ryley comes from a very strong field-line pedigree, with a lineage rich in accomplished working dogs, including FC, AFC, MH, QAA, and more.  His pedigree reflects generations of proven hunting ability, trainability, and performance.

Ryley is the complete package — a talented and driven hunting dog, an eager and thoughtful training partner, and a confident, happy Golden Retriever who loves everyone he meets.

From this pairing, we expect puppies with the potential to be talented, biddable, confident, and versatile Golden Retrievers.  We anticipate puppies who are eager to learn, enjoy working with their  people, and have the natural desire and ability to excel in the field as hunting partners, obedience, hunt tests, and other performance activities.

Just as importantly, we expect puppies with wonderful temperaments and a true love of life — dogs who can turn the switch on when it’s time to work and then happily settle in with their families when the work is done.

As with any breeding, genetics are a combination of both parents, and individual puppies will develop their own unique personalities and strengths. Our goal is to produce puppies with the ability, temperament, desire, and versatility to thrive in whatever role their families choose for them.

These pups will not be couch-potatoes.  They are bred to have drive, curiosity, and a desire to engage with the world around them.

Whether your dream is a hunting partner, competition dog, training companion, or simply an exceptional Golden Retriever to share your active life with, this is a pairing we are very excited about.

YaYa is a mature, serious-minded Golden Retriever with a wonderful balance  of confidence, composure, and genuine joy for the work. She loves to hunt and train in obedience, bringing an eager-to-learn attitude while retaining the independence and problem-solving ability that make her a  thoughtful, capable working partner.

YaYa has an exceptional off-switch, settling calmly even when excited and adapting confidently to new environments. She is kind and friendly with strangers and affectionate with her people without being needy. Smaller than standard in size but compact, powerful, and sturdy, she carries a beautiful medium-gold coat with a dense, low-shedding  texture, and minimal grooming requirements.

She earned both her AKC Junior Hunter and HRC Started titles in just four passes each. She also began her obedience career this summer, and we look forward to continue training and showing her through the higher levels.

YaYa's  pedigree combines strong show and performance lines, with generations of GCH, MH, BISS, AFC, OS, OD, and other accomplished dogs. With a bitch line rich in Outstanding Dams, we have high expectations for YaYa as a  producer of quality working prospects—dogs with the temperament,  biddability, independence, and work ethic to excel in a wide variety of  disciplines.
